About Me

Hi! I'm Hannah, a freelance artist, illustrator & designer based in Fullerton, CA.

I graduated from Cal Poly Humboldt in May 2022 with a BA in Studio Art, with previous experience in Graphic Design. Most of my degree program was spent making cartoons, which is where I found my love for illustration. I've always enjoyed being creative, developing ideas and having fun with whatever projects I'm working on.

Beyond design and illustration, I am an idea person most of all and can stretch my creativity to many areas of expertise. If you are in need of an artist's eye, I would love to step up to the plate.

Artist Statement

"If you were to ask just about anybody that knows me, they would tell you that I have a knack for drawing animals. I’ve been this way for as long as I can remember, fascinated by my collection of picture books, cartoons, and of course my beloved childhood pets. I can vividly recall being told in my middle-school art class that, despite my best attempts at drawing in a “realistic” style, I had instead created something that looked “just like a cartoon character”. I might have been a little upset at the time, but in hindsight they were so, so right. Nowadays, cartoon animals are my absolute favorite subject to draw. Be they fantastical, extinct, or modern-age beasts, I take great care and pride in making them come to life on my canvas. My work typically involves a lot of color as I like to place my subjects in vibrant environments reflective of my own personality.

I have tried out many different drawing mediums over the years, and have since developed a style that combines both digital and hand-drawn methods. Once I have an idea to run with, I'll continue to develop it further until I am satisfied with the finished product. Overall, what had started out as a simple childhood hobby has become my passion and career, and I hope that my cartoon animal illustrations can bring people as much joy in their hearts as I have when creating them. Art is the way in which I express myself, my happiness and my love for the imagination. I just can't wait to see where it takes me next."
